Dr. Aferzon

Dr. Aferzon received his undergraduate and medical training at Brown University (8-year combined PLME program), graduating in 1997. After a surgical internship at Syracuse, he completed Otolaryngology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Aferzon has been in solo private practice in CT since 2002. The original practice location was in Derby, and he moved to Shelton in 2007. He is an active staff member of Griffin Hospital and has courtesy privileges at Milford Hospital. 

Dr. Aferzon is a board certified Otolaryngologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, has coauthored a textbook chapter, and has lectured on multiple ENT & allergy topics. Additionally, he has been featured in several newspaper articles and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and multiple regional guides.
